Being crew at Meritaten

Helena with her friends wanted to try sailing Meritaten so we went for a few hours sail in Björköfjärden. It is the first time I could sail with another sailor onboard so I took role of the crew.

It was blowing OK, with gusts 8-9 m/s so we could tilt Meritaten for some excitement under full sails. A few gibes (intentional!) followed by several tacks on the way back. I didn’t touch the tiller - Helena was handling the boat proficiently.

It was a bit busy in the cockpit, with four of us. Optimal crew on my boat is three, then all can find a place in the cockpit.

Very pleasant sailing indeed!
