Safir SWE 13
S/Y Motoko

She was my first boat bought in Sweden.
I feel sentimental towards her: I fell in love in her lines when I first saw her on land, early spring. Didn't hesitate to buy her - even though she was in neglected condition and totally empty inside.
Well - it was a challenge to get her to the current state but I enjoyed it.
Eventually I decided to sell her - to be able to focus on wooden boats only.

These are my boats - ongoing projects. Like all boats - mine also constantly undergo improvements or cosmetic upgrades. Because I think it's fun!
Equally with sailing - and sometimes even more.

I've started this page to move away from posting boat info on Facebook.
Instead I like to have all in one, public place - accessible by anyone interested.

I appreciate when people post their projects and solutions to share with others. I search such pages to solve my problems so I feel that "adding my stone to this garden" is necessary.

Like many others I was long before in love in wooden boats, especially in those meant for open sea - like kosters.
And like many others I was put back by the fame of these boats being time killers and demanding constant maintenance furniture.
Until I found her. I just could not resist - and the price was fair.
So now this 59 old lady is taking care of us on the sea and I will take care of her while on the land.
